medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Sticking the word 'Paternoster' into Google map brings up some 10 or so
separate locations, several of them closely associated with religious
communities (Carlisle Cathedral, Waltham Abbey, etc). I'd suggest
extreme caution in using these as evidence for paternoster making or
buying without additional evidence, and I'd watch out for cases of later
'romantic' renamings of quite both related and unrelated locations, but
the sample is small enough to perhaps suggest some lines of exploration.

Thanks for the dates, though -- very helpful. What (if it's not a dumb
question) is your source for them?
