Like you, I rarely post to this list, though I read all the messages daily.
I, too, find this interesting and did a search of the term. The
information on Wikipedia was the most thorough I found.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cretinism I then went to several medical
sites, and in just a brief search found the term used in several recent
journal articles in the study of hypothyroidism.
