medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Call for papers on Medieval Theology and Biblical Exegesis.
International Medieval Congress, Leeds, 9-12 July, 2007
I hereby invite you to submit papers and/or sessions on the topic of theology
and biblical exegesis for the International Medieval Congress in Leeds, 2007.
Submissions can be made by using the submission form, available at
http://imc.leeds.ac.uk/imcapp/ , or you can request a submission form by
contacting [log in to unmask] .
The deadline for individual submissions is August 31, for complete sessions 30
September, 2006. Papers in all major European languages are accepted.
Although each IMC has a specific theme (the theme for 2006 will be 'medieval
cities'), papers at the IMC are not restricted to this particular theme. We want
to especially encourage you to submit any papers that fall within the strand
"theology and biblical exegesis". We invite both individual papers and complete
session proposals. Papers dealing with the interpretation of sacred writings in
other religions than Christianity (such as Judaism or Islam), or on the topic of
interreligious encounters in the Middle Ages are welcomed.
Please post this Call for Papers on your bulletin boards or websites!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at
