A typo for 'Panisperna'. The name is said to derive from the

Indeed. The number of churches in Rome that have been dedicated to L.,
though not precisely known, is large. Christian Hülsen estimated it at
around thirty. People are still treating that figure as probably about
right.
Of course, veneration of L. has not been limited to Rome. Herewith
views, etc. of some dedications to him not in the Eternal City.
