If you add the apt repository as stated here your problems shod be solved
https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/ImplementationOfDcache
Basically add the file
#cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/dcache.list
rpm http://www.dcache.org/ apt/sl3.0.4 stable
#
with the pools with Yaim should use
/opt/glite/yaim/scripts/install_node /root/oms/site-info.def glite-SE_dcache_pool
/opt/glite/yaim/scripts/configure_node /root/oms/site-info.def glite-SE_dcache_pool
This should install
#rpm -qa | grep dcache-
dcache-server-1.6.6-5
dcache-client-1.6.7-4
lcg-info-dynamic-dcache-1.0.9-1_sl3
And set things up correctly for you with the bug mentioned before about not mounting the apt pnfs server for GridFtp door nodes. This bug is now believed to be fixed and is being tested and will be placed in stable probably some time tomorrow.
For your information other node targets are available.
#apt-cache search glite-SE | grep cache
glite-SE_dcache_admin_gdbm - glite-SE_dcache_admin_gdbm
glite-SE_dcache_admin_postgres - glite-SE_dcache_admin_postgres
glite-SE_dcache_pool - glite-SE_dcache_pool
and the following targets for D-Cache are as of now deprecated.
glite-SE_dcache - gLite SE dcache node
glite-SE_dcache_gdbm - glite SE dcache gdbm node
Hope this helps for Manchester see you at the phone conference.
Regards
