D-Cache 1.7.0 in testing apt repository, with SRM 2 I believe
I am just setting up a new system for D-Cache installation from DESY.
All you need to do is add and apt source and you to can test it.
#cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/dcache.list
rpm http://www.dcache.org/ apt/sl3.0.4 stable testing unstable
This will be hooked up to and auto build system.
At the moment nothing is in stable as we are still setting things up,
but in testing and unstable we have new products, particularly the much
demanded install system with out postgresql on the pool nodes.
Unfortunately I still have one bug which requires admins to mount pnfs
on pool nodes with GsiFtp doors so that you can list directories via
GsiFtp.
This will hopefully be fixed for Wednesday when Manchester comes back
from holiday.
Hope this all wets your appetites for nice new and shiny D-Caches, but
DONT run 1.7.0 in production its not ready otherwise it would be in stable.
1.7.0 is only for testing, and maybe in a day or two I will but up 1.7.1,
(I have some VOMS work to do with this release but it does fix an
advisory delete issue with 1.7.0).
Regards
Owen
