Dear John,
These images have been jogging some pleasant memories for me, too. I believe,
in fact, that like your previous two images, what this one shows is the "atrium" in
front of the church proper (which may have originally been covered) and, like the
other images, actually looking away from the church. In any case, since most of
what can be seen in an exterior view consists of the early 20th-century brick upper
parts of the church, built to protect the surviving lower walls, it's not all that big a
deal that we can't see it in these images.
