Further info about the UK Eprints Application Profile is available here:
http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/repositories/digirep/index/Eprints_Application_Profile
Work is almost complete on the first instantiation of the profile and
all documentation is freely available from the above wiki pages. The
work will also be presented at DC 2006.
The aim is to provide search services with a richer, more consistent,
set of metadata on which to build services than is currently possible
with simple DC. The Intute search project are hoping to harvest
eprints-AP compliant metadata from repositories.
Regards,
Julie
