I don't think it is desirous or practical to "get rid of religion".
There would probably be something else equally hideous in it's place
if you did so. Even so, I would like a lesser proportion of my life
filled with nonsense like the HPV report, for sure. However, if you
applied the thought-experiment, and removed religion, you'd only
remove *one source of inspiration. I'm sure there are others around,
with other people of equal or greater statute to come to the plate,
equally inspired.
In fact, "atheists wanting to get rid of religion" is another of those
other half-truths/propaganda myths passed around by believers of many
shades. This gets expanded into "you're an atheist, so you must hate
us, right?" "You want to get rid of us, right?" Nooo. It's the other

Yes, they want to get rid of *everyone else and are producing a
computer game to reinforce that notion. Words fail me. This sort of
thing doesn't do anyone's cause much good does it?
