Dear List
Has anyone had the experience of a school closing to be replaced by a City
Academy and if so what happened to the records?
I consider the school’s records to be council property and therefore should
be kept by the Council; however, it seems a bit harsh to expect the City
Academy to open with none of the existing records. At the very least I
expect the new privately run Academy to need access to pupil records. Is
it a case of establishing access rights between the Academy and the Council
or maybe to loan specific records (i.e. current pupil records) for a set
period of time?
Many thanks
Mark
