medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Elizabeth of York's various offerings to English shrines, particularly Marian shrines,
constitute very valuable evidence for the state of pilgrimage in England just prior to
the Reformation. In her expense accounts for 24 March 1502, she made offerings
to practically every Marian shrine in the country! Many of these references have
been published in Edmund Waterton, Pietas Mariana Britannica, which I am
currently reading.
