I thought this was interesting, but in a way more
interesting technically than compelling. I agree with
Doug's comment about not knowing about the Auschwitz
image, or so I took it, where the piece seems to
combine two very different events but it's also there
that we have mostly the 'overvoice' of the mourner.
Also, the sort of explosion of chicken imagery with
fear and then the sort of explosion of medical
hypodermics etc with joy seemed too conceptual. The
most interesting was in a way the part that seemed to
defy sense, in that conceptual way, where the 'end of
the birds' are those eagles as 'vehicles' which
collide with the viruses, and then it all falls down
with that repeating, overwriting phrase of 'virus' and
'in love.' Anyway it was very interesting, and I'm
only commenting since you asked, and thanks for the
