We have at least 10 students requiring overnight supervision each
summer.
Exam Boards now allow students to stay in their own home as long as
whoever is supervising them signs the JCQ form "Confidentiality
Declaration for Overnight Supervision".
I believe it is open to abuse but as long as the student is collected
at the end of the exam and brought back the next morning, the form is
signed by both the student and parent/guardian and the rules are
explained to them you have covered yourselves.

Dear all
Our centre has three learners this year that may need overnight
supervision due to clashes. In previous years the learners have
preferred to take the exams spread over one day but this does not seem
to be the preference this year. Please can you let me know the type
of
accommodation you offer your learners - in a member of staff's home or
in a hotel? Does your centre pay for any hotel bills? What sort of
experience do you have of awarding bodies granting permission for
learners to be supervised at home?
Many thanks
Andrea
