Hi
I don't have guidelines on this but set my Outlook mailbox to empty
everything from the deleted folder on closedown. Other than that I
periodically review "sent items" by type - this allows easy
identification of meeting requests which can then be deleted as a block.
I also periodically review folders having sorted them first by
attachment (present or not) and by size so as to manage my email folder
size within organisational limits & identify attachments that need to be
saved - preferably in shared drives not in email folders. If I need to
keep the email as well as the attachment I leave a note in the email
that there was an attachment and it is called x and saved in drive y - I
don't have an ERM to handle this yet!

Subject: Speeding up deleting emails
Hi,
There are various ways of speeding up deleting emails, e.g. sort by
date, sort by sender.
Does anyone have any guidelines in place on this or know of any
recognised ones they could let me have?
Thanks.
Fiona.
