Sans Soleil & Le Jetee is available on region 2 DVD in Britain as well (and
on region 1 in US) - I do like the laconic letters juxtaposed with the clips
- i remember the scene on the overnight train in Japan and the narrator
saying, "A fragment of war always in the mundane". It's a lot like Patrick
Keillor's London project.
I also enjoy Marker's brilliant essays/poems - often in a series of short
pieces like an archipelago.
