medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Laura,
My guess would be the following:
Author: Maclean, Ian, 1945-
Title: The Renaissance notion of woman: A study in the fortunes of scholasticism and medical science in European intellectual life
Published: Cambridge (UK) and New York: Cambridge University Press, 1980
Best wishes, George

Can anyone tell me the proper reference for a book I half-remember but haven't been able to track down? It's by someone with a name like MacClaren/ McClean and called someithing like Medieval and Renaissance Notions of Women, and I came across it some time in the mid80s!
Thanks
Laura
