As long as we are cleaning house, we can add those to the
batch of changes.
I think we should pick one variant and (try to) be consistent
-- not just in definitions, but in technical documents,
news items, and the like.
My guess is that the "US" variant is more common in DCMI
documents generally (i.e., less work to make other changes)
and would prefer we use that. It's not a UB issue per se,
so I will raise it with Makx and the Web Team.
