medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
It doesn't matter that it is old. It is interesting to see the transformations
these stories go though over the years. It has definitely shortened. I first
heard it in 1969, but it involved twins who both had such accidents and the
second was said to be a "dead ringer" for the first. It was told with
considerable pantomime and digression.
