I think the meaning in question is "including in the Calendar" (or the
Martyrology). Perhaps we should instead use the terms "calendared" or
"martyrologised"?
Talking of which, Peter Damian was included in the old martyrology on 23
February, the day after he died. (He died during the night, raising the old
question of which day the night belongs to...)
