In principle the "Set Sequential Spin System" Function is an excellent idea
and works really nicely. My main problem with it has been that it appears to
be rather untransparent and when I once made an incorrect link, I had quite
a battle trying to "un-link" it again. There seemed to be no way in which I
could check which spin systems had been linked to one-another. Despite
having introduced links, I never saw anything in the "Confirm Seq. Spin
Systems" Popup.
I was wondering whether there was a chance of having a function rather like
the Assignment graph where you can see pictorially which spin systems have
been linked and, if desired, can break a link again (or perhaps also
introduce one, too) - perhaps also see what spectra the spin systems belong
to and do mergers such as Brian suggested. This would be really helpful in
the backbone assignment stages so that you can see exactly what fragments
you have, which spin systems are linked and dealt with, which bits are
assigned etc.
I appreaciate it's not the sort of thing you can do overnight, but in the
long-run it would be a really nice feature.
