medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
In Book XI of the Confessions, all three are mentioned specifically in A's
discussion of time. However, today Augustine is represented in art as a man
with a child, dove, pen, or shell.
I hope you get some more "medieval" responses. Perhaps your author was
referring to A in some special locale or situation.
