These people may be of help. Formerly known as the Society for Cultural
Relations with the USSR. They have a good literature collection which
specifically references Solzhenitzen (and no, I'm not sure of the spelling
either). Thanks to Helen Carpenter of the Welcome To Your Library project
for the pointer.

Subject: Gulag archipelago
Dear all,
One of our readers has asked for a copy of Solzhenitsyn's (Spelling?) Gulag
archipelago as a request - in Russian.
Grant and Cutler say that it is out of print in Russia and unobtainable.
Has anyone got a copy that we could borrow, or can anyone suggest a non
public library source (I know that there is a Polish Library - is there a
Russian Library?)
We do not subscribe to Bright's.
David
