We are currently engaged in an opening hours consultation which may or may
not lead to Sunday opening. In order to work with staff on potential
implications I am looking to find out the following.
1) How different authorities have dealt with this, ie recruiting new staff,
changing contracts of existing staff following negotiation, changing
contract of new staff appointed, combination of the former. If any
differences between library assistants, supervisors, librarians,
specialists on this.
2) Any lessons to learn about what to do or not to do
3) What additional payment authorities give for Sunday working
I will summarise for the list.
