As there could well be British mapping and charting (or their influence)
involved in some of the items mentioned this might be of interest to
'Lis-maps'. Maybe histerical items, too, are included - so I forward
this to ';MapHist' also. If indigenous mapping (doubtless mentioning
toponymy)is to appear . . .

cartography' as part of their Summer Report with Todd Niall in the
mornings. Today's program was about mapping Antarctica. If
interested,
the talks are archived on the RNZ web site for 30 days:
