Many thanks to all at Manchester who made the annual meeting such a
success last week and also ensured that Ernie's 60th birthday was
celebrated in appropriate style.
The birthday itself was during the field trip to the Carboneras Fault
Zone in Spain, led primarily by Ernie. Many thanks, Ernie, from all of
us, especially those who were seeing the wonderful geology down there
for the first time. As the attached shows, some members of the party
just couldn't contain their enthusiasm. You know who you are, Geo-
tectonics is watching you!
Thanks again to all concerned.
John
PS I've compressed the jpeg as much as I can, I hope it's small enough
not to cause anyone any space or download problems!
