If the San Francisco Bay Area and California wasn't currently doing a
relatively pale version of Katrina - with trees uprooting and breaking from
the overly saturated local neighborhood earth, and the clouds, and sea gulls
crazing about, and, wow, yesterday, when the sun was out, the ocean at full
white roil crashing the sea walls (at flood tide its enormous volume
stuffing the flooded rivers back up stream), Hal, I might say things are
'average' - but I suspect Issa was also being ironic, maybe similar someone
between bombs in downtown Baghdad saying, "President Bush is having an
average day."
Or, as somebody at midnight last night joined in on the toast to all things
good and well to add:
"Kick out the pricks
In Two-Thousand-Six."
Well, the women and most of the men laughed, except for one guy who said,
"I want to keep mine."
So much for the power of rhyme.
Happy New Year everyone & back to the window rattling great winds!
