It's possible to accept that someone does believe something.
However, uncritical respect of such a belief is not something demanded of
anything else apart from religion - whether we are talking about someone's
political beliefs or beliefs about economic systems. These beliefs are not
'respected' - rather they are contested by all those who do not share those
particular political beliefs.
