The Office of Science and Innovation is supporting a bursary scheme for this year's Science Communication Conference taking place on the 13 and 14 July.
The bursaries are designed to attract a wider range of delegates to the conference and are available to the following target audiences:
* science communication students
* freelancers/microbusiness (less than 10 employees)
* campaigning groups
* representatives from BME/community outreach groups
* full-time scientists
Bursary recipients will have their conference fees paid and will be eligible for a contribution of £200 per person to assist with travel and accommodation expenses. The bursary also covers optional attendance at the Festival dinner.
Five bursaries will be awarded in each category. Bursaries will be awarded based on how applicants intend to disseminate information from the conference to others in their field.
Applications are open now and will close 1t midday on Monday 12 June, decisions will be announced by Friday 16 June.
