I use 'www.emailhosts.com'. Their basic package is
£20 a month to manage 1000 addresses. I manage 17,500
addresses so I need to buy extra space for those.
This works out at £1000 a year. The service also
includes an advice line you can call with queries.
The system allows you to create several sub lists from
your master list and you can create about 4 email
templates for regular newsletters as well as bespoke
ones for single messages.
It supports html emails and allows users to give name
address and emails when signing up as well as some
otehr tick-box options. You can also upload and
download emails from excel. It removes emails that
have bounced back over 4 times and manages
duplications.
I have used it about for about a year and a half and
its been very reliable.
RE: html emails. There is an issue of some companies
blocking all html emails but these tend to be high-end
corporates so it depends what % of that audience you
have. Also if your audinece isn't very email savvy
then they might not know the diffeence between
html/plain text.
hope that helps
