Einstein Talk in Oxford:
Albert Einstein: Scientist and Superstar!
Thursday 4th May 7pm at Science Oxford, St Clements, Oxford
£4 (NUS £2.50/Members free)
A photograph of Einstein and the equation E=mc2 are surely two of the most
widely recognized symbols of the 20th century. Albert Einstein's work on
relativity and quantum theory made him science's first international superstar.
Professor Norman McCubbin from the Particle Physics Department at the CCLRC
Rutherford Appleton Laboratory will convey something of the man and his
physics, and the times in which he lived. The discussion of the physics
will be with a minimum of mathematics!
