I vote for yes... can't see any reasons for not including this
database

Subject: Proposal to incorporate Acumen content in Turnitin database
Posted on behalf of Will Murray, Director, Plagiarism Advisory Service.
Dear all,
At the plagiarism conference in June Peter Taylor of Acumen PI took the
unexpected step of talking to our community about his coursework library
site as part of the conference panel session.
For list members who were not at the conference, Acumen PI provide a
series of websites offering access to a large number of model answers
(essays) to a growing student user base.
Understandably this generated a great deal of interest!
During the panel session there was a suggestion from the floor that if
Peter's company were true to their belief that they were providing a
valuable model answer service they should allow Turnitin to search the
full Acumen PI database.
Currently the Acumen PI essays are only accessible in password
protected areas of the Acumen sites and are therefore hidden from
Turnitin. Inclusion of the Acumen database would increase the number of
essays searched by Turnitin by 130,000 (plus daily additions).
Acumen PI indicated at the conference in June that they would be
willing to provide their essays for inclusion in the Turnitin search
database and have recently repeated this offer.
Do we as a community think it would be worthwhile or useful to place
the Acumen content in the Turnitin database so that it can be searched
along with all the other existing content?
We would welcome your views!
