Dear All,
As announced at this year's EIUG conference, it is time to select your
EIUG Committee for 2006/07. There are seven posts on the committee and
of these seven, six are eligible to be filled this year;
Chair
Vice-chair
Secretary
Treasurer
Training officer
Ordinary Member
I have so far received nominations for election / re-election for all
posts apart from ordinary member.
Elected members serve for a period of two years after which they may
seek re-election for a further term. There are 3 committee meetings and
a conference to organise each year along with arranging networking
meetings and additional training sessions of benefit to the membership.
Serving on the Committee can be very rewarding and I would urge you
all to consider standing for one of the above posts.
If you would like to stand or know a colleague who you think would make
a good addition to the committee, please a nomination via e-mail to this
e-mail address or to the postal address below.
The deadline for receipt of nominations is Friday 6th October. For
those posts that are not contested, I will announce the successful
candidate(s) on Monday 9th October. An election will be held for posts
for which there are more than one candidate, with each member
institution eligible to vote once - further detials will be sent to the
list after 9th October if necessary.
Obviously, we are particularly interested in receiving nominations for
the vacant Ordinary member post. If no nomination is received, a press
gang will be dispatched!
If you would like further detials on any aspect of serving on the EIUG
committee, please contact me.
Best wishes
Phil Brabban
EIUG Secretary
