It would be helpful to know which of the NESLi2 deals you are referring to. JISC Journals WG usually aranges for new deals to cover existing subscibers. As a member of the JWG I would be happy to raise the issue.

Subject: Converting to Nesli from an existing agreement
Hello everyone,
Here at Bath we have been looking at one of the Nesli deals for 2007
alongside an existing agreement. However, we were disappointed to be told
that our current agreement could not be converted to enable us to take
advantage of the Nesli terms until it expires. This will not occur until
August 2007 which will limit our ability to take advantage of the Nesli
discount during 2007 to five months.
I recall that when this situation arose in the past for Chest deals that we
obtained an assurance that our licence could be converted in the event that
a Chest deal was agreed and the terms proved to be more attractive.
I wondered if anyone else has experience of this. I'm reminded of the
recent TV advertisement (for Nationwide I think) with its repeated chant of
'for brand new customers only'.
Cheers,
