Please find attached below a invitation for the first UK/European
Manifold User Group Meeting, which will take place on the afternoon of
the 29th September at University College London.
The venue will be the Department of Geomatic Engineering. I attach here
information on how to reach the department.
<http://www.ge.ucl.ac.uk/information/directions>
We will be presenting the use of Manifold in research and applications
inside University College London, along with a presentation by Dr Muki
Haklay of the new Oracle Spatial integration features of Manifold.
We are still looking for participants that want to actively shape the
meeting, by way of short presentations. If you are interested in giving
a short presentation on a specific topic which would be of benefit to
the meeting, please let me know so that we can include you in the
schedule. Some appropriate topics that we can think of are:
* Demonstrations of Manifold applications.
* Custom tools and techniques for Manifold.
* Integration of United Kingdom specific datasets with Manifold.
* Interoperability of Manifold with other GIS systems.
Also, we already have participants and presenters from other EU
countries coming to London for the meeting, so please anyone is welcome,
and the meeting will be relevant for all users of Manifold.
Confirmed Presentation Topics:
- Research & Msc Projects at UCL that use Manifold
- Demonstration of Manifold's Oracle Spatial functionality
- SVG interface for data exploration and analysis
- Review of Decision Support Functions in Manifold 7.x
