Combining e-government and mobility, the Second Euro Conference on Mobile Government (EURO mGOV 2006) aims to attract representatives from the Public Sector, Academia, IT and Telecom companies, to establish a forum and networking platform for discussion and dissemination of knowledge on all aspects of Mobile Government including research, policy, implementation issues and impact on the government organisations and the society. The Center for Geospatial Science, University of Nottingham http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/cgs/ are organising a special session on "MobileGIS in mGovernment" at the Euro mGov 2006 conference and invites interested authors to submit proposals for the same. MobileGIS in mGovernment
This session is to discuss technological, organisational and legal challenges for mobile Geographic Information Systems, Location Based Services and the recent developments in Ubiquitous GIS. This session is intended to bring together academics, researchers, government bodies, enforcement agencies, geospatial specialists, IT professionals involved in development of eGovernment applications. We encourage academic, industry and government groups to submit proposals in the following topics
Possible Topics are:
o MobileGIS in decision making for mGovernment
o MobileGIS in Disaster Management
o Methodologies for mGIS technology in mGovernment applications
o HCI research and usability in mGIS
o Legal issues in mGIS (Privacy, Security, Data Protection etc)
o Critical issues and factors for implementing mGovernment
o Management issues of mGIS
o Economic assessment of mGIS
o mGIS project management
o mGIS case studies and initiatives
o Policies and business models for mGIS in mGovernment
o Data integration and accessibility issues for mGIS
o Real time data sharing between organisations for mGIS
Submission Instructions:
All interested authors should send a page long paper proposal to as soon as possible but no-later than 5th of July 2006, at [log in to unmask] (Cc ing to the conference technical chair Prof I.Kushchu at [log in to unmask] ) to see the suitability of their paper for the session. All full -paper submissions are subject to EURO mGOV submission and review procedures and author guidelines for submission are outlined at

Please note that full paper submission is encouraged for inclusion in the conference proceedings, but not mandatory for this special session
