Applications are invited for the above post to support the expanding
activities of the IESSG, an international centre of excellence based at one
of the UK’s strongest research–led universities. The IESSG is a leading
research centre of the School of Civil Engineering, which received a Grade
5 in the last RAE and 22/24 in its Teaching Quality Assessment. The
Institute is housed in excellent purpose-built accommodation in the centre
of Nottingham’s renowned campus.
This post will initially involve the following main responsibilities: to
engage in internationally competitive research, to teach at undergraduate
and postgraduate level, provide academic leadership of courses and to
contribute to the administration of the IESSG and the School.
Candidates should already have a first degree and a PhD in the field of
geospatial engineering or a related field, together with evidence of
existing research activity and potential for future research at an
internationally leading level. Ideally, candidates should also have
experience of teaching in higher education. Candidates without a PGCHE
qualification will be expected to undertake a University-supported course
of study leading to the PGCHE.
Salary will be within the range £28,849 - £38,772 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £44,947 per annum,
subject to performance).
