SALT OF THE EARTH is a terrific (pre-feminist movement) demonstration of
how women come together to assert their rights and how they succeed in
spite of culturally entrenched machismo and perilous economic conditions. I
use it in two film courses and also show it for Women's History month, with
invariably positive feedback.

Subject: A request for inspiration
I am soliciting suggestions for an inspiring film for a section on feminism
in my ideology and film course. I am already screening Thelma and Louise,
Pat and Mike and The Piano, but don't want to do Norma Rae again...
