My last mail was somewhat confusing. What I meant was that BY COMPARISON
with HIDDEN, Hollywood films are tame in their violence...
With Haneke, of course, the violence is both physical and psychological at
the same time, and it also seems incredibly realistic - it is a genuine
encounter with the traumatic REAL, or the PUNCTUM (Barthes), a cinematic
moment you will probably remember for the rest your life.
