If you read German (!?), there's this: Jürgen Felix (ed.): Moderne
Film Theorie. Eine Einführung. - 2nd ed. - Mainz: Bender, 2002.
Different films are analyzed, each time utilizing one specific
theoretical method of +/- current film theory. Available at amazon.de.
There's at least one fairly recent English-language publication with
a similar approach, but you'll have to hunt it down yourself, I'm
afraid.
