Have added further thoughts on the above topic to the latest "Editor's
Day", exploring the Hitchcock-Henry James connection (such as it is).
At one point I note how James anticipated an idea of Walter Benjamin's
in "The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction". However, I
omitted a reference to another director who regularly liked to have
'powerful situations' in his films: Louis Malle. In context, it seemed
distracting - but I'm happy to share it here. There'll be a further,
