Mathematical Sciences, University College Dublin, Ireland..
The successful candidate will have a strong Mathematical
background with a good knowledge of Statistics. They will be

fibrosis patients, in statistical process control, of rates of HIV
and AIDS in a certain area, of rates of economic growth or of
changes in extreme temperatures. The work will involve becoming
familiar with stochastic processes, in particular the theory of
Brownian motion and the
Brownian bridge and applying theoretical results to practical
problems.
The doctoral candidate will be supervised by Dr. Gabrielle
Kelly, Senior Lecturer of the School of Mathematical
Sciences, UCD.
