We do not currently add glutamine, due to its cost and lack of evidence
about its effectiveness. I would also be interested in any guidelines used
by others. I can confirm that NICE excluded it from the current
consultation. The MRC are funding a larger study of glutamine and selenium
in TPN which will hopefully help to settle the issue
