Assistant Professor/Associate Professor within User-centered Design Methods for the Industrial Design Disciplines
At the Centre for Design Research, a position as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor is vacant from August 1, 2006. Place of employment: Danmarks Designskole.
Candidates are presumed to have research qualifications at Ph.D. level.
Candidates will be placed as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor-level according to the results of an assessment.
Assistant Professorships are 3-year full time positions
Associate Professorships are permanent full time positions
The purpose of the Centre for Design Research is to enhance the research within design in Denmark. The position implies teaching at Danmarks Designskole, Institute of Product Design, and research in accordance with the common initiatives within Centre for Design Research and Danmarks Designskole’s Plan for Research and Artistic Practice.
Another obligation in connection with the position is to contribute to the further development of special and research areas both at Danmarks Designskole and at the Centre for Design Research – a development that eventually will lead to a reorganization of Danmarks Designskole into a design university. The restructuring of an academic environment is a central priority at Danmarks Designskole, and therefore daily presence is a prerequisite.
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Danish University Faculty members.
Appointment will take place according to executive order no. 467 dated May 27, 2003 on appointment of artistic/research staff at educational institutions related to the Ministry of Culture.
