**Apologies for cross posting**
Dear Colleagues,
As stated in an earlier posting to the list, Liverpool University Centre
for Archive Studies is hosting a training event entitled "Preserving
Digital Archives" on Wednesday 22nd March 2006.
I am pleased to say that the programme is now available to download from
our website at www.liv.ac.uk/lucas/events.
This one-day event will focus on the technological, financial, legal and
organisational challenges faced by repositories receiving deposits of
digital archives. It will cover strategic and practical approaches to the
issue and will discuss developing strategies and current projects of
interest to professional archivists.
Places cost £65 for LUCAS members and £80 for non-LUCAS members and this
includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day. For more information
and to book a place contact Lizzie Woulfe [log in to unmask] / 0151 794
2414.
Caroline Williams would also like at this stage, to invite any colleagues
engaged in a project related to the preservation of digital archives to
showcase their project during a session at the event. Anyone interested in
doing so should contact Caroline at [log in to unmask] or telephone
0151 794 2390.
We hope that you are able to join us.
Very best wishes
Lizzie
