Happy New Year to all contributors to Zooarch!
I am currently putting together a survey of the taphonomy of bird bones, and would like to illustrate examples of damage by non-human predators. Several important papers on bird bone taphonomy have been published, but surprisingly few include illustrations of natural damage. I am on the lookout for examples of gnawing by carnivores (including domestic dogs and cats), and damage from the beaks of raptors and other avian predators.
If you have any photographs (digitised or prints) that I might use, I would be very grateful. Both experimental and archaeological examples welcome. Of course, if I use any photos, I will acknowledge the source fully.
