Hi,
At the University of Paisley we are planning a Turnitin pilot, scheduled to
commence in September.
We are debating the use of Turnitin as a formative experience for students,
ie they will be allowed to constantly review and upadte their submissions
prior to the final submission to staff.
The arguement is that this practice will help students to learn about
plagiarism more quickly than the alternative of having to wait for feedback
from staff. It should also result in the final submission being plagiarism
free.
I appreciate that this topic has been discussed previously but I was
wondering if any new information/results has come to light in the
intervening period.
regards,
Arthur Loughran
