medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Dr. Tilley,
This information is quite good. However, I am sure that I
did not express myself clearly. The Montserrat bull does
not concern a particular feast day, but for any day (likely
everyday) that the pilgrims are present. Although it seems
that this would not be commonly exercised on major feast
days. Also, I am interested as to why there would be a
prohibition at all for the celebration of the mass outside
of day light hours. Would it have something to do with
fears of necromancy?
Thanks,
Daniel
