medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Irmina was the "daughter of Plectrude" one of the polygynous Pepin's wives
and therefore a Carolingian.
The sainthood of Dagobert II is a complete farrago from a piece of
hagiography written at a much later date almost out of wholecloth. Ian Wood
stresses how little we actually know about this king and that little does
not include the actual manner of his death.
