medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Learned colleagues,
For next summer's International Medieval Congress (IMC) at Leeds, an
interdisciplinary session on the human body in medieval culture now
needs a third paper, which may be in any major European language.
Inquiries and, especially, proposals (with paper title and a brief
abstract of not more than 100 words) should be directed to the Congress'
staff at:

and should specify that this concerns session no. 627.
The dates of this congress are 10-13 July 2006; this particular session
is scheduled for Tuesday, 11 July, at 11:15 hrs. All proposals will be
assessed as quickly as possible. Although this announcement remains in
effect until a suitable paper is found, prompt and cogent submission may
lead to the immortality that only a listing in the IMC programme book
can confer.
With all best wishes in this holiday season,
John Dillon

PS: A replacement paper is also being sought for a session on the
interplay of emotion and illness in late antique or medieval literary,
theological, or medical writing (preference here being given to an
offering that is Latin-based). Inquiries and proposals for that one
should be directed to the session's organiser, Dr. Karin Schlapbach, at:
