medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
The addition of an additional antiphon in various traditions, as John Briggs
describes below makes good liturgical sense. One additional antiphon
creates a sort of "anticipatory octave" rather than a seven day
anticipation, which does not have many liturgical analogues that I know of.

But not for the Sarum Calendar - when it was yesterday, and in other
calendars as well - mostly in France, but also Germany.
